James Joseph Perry was born in Saint Anne's Hospital in Fall River, Massachusetts. He graduated from the Berlin American High School in Berlin, Germany and formerly lived in Florida. He now lives on Okinawa with his wife Mary Houston Perry, who is usually an expert retail store manager and designer but is now a full-time mom with their first son, Jacob Samuel Perry. Jimmy works for the Army as a Sports Director. He was formerly a professional diver and puts the skills to use on the island. He has considerable computer expertise and develops websites as well as collaborating on a variety of computer projects with others. Their other children are Calvin and Angelo who insist on walking on all four legs, have fuzzy faces, and meow a lot.
